PLASTA Vice President

Susan Hendrickson is a Specialist Registrar in Plastic Surgery training in the South West deanery. She studied at St. John’s College, Oxford and University College London, where she gained her MBBS diploma. She completed Foundation and Core Surgical Training in London, and developed a passion for major trauma and extremity trauma reconstruction while working at St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington. She has continued to develop this interest throughout her broader plastic surgical training in the South West, where she so far has worked in two Major Trauma Centres (Southmead Hospital, Bristol and Derriford Hospital, Plymouth). Susan was elected to PLASTA Executive Committee in 2018 as Sponsorship Representative and re-elected to the Committee as Vice President in 2019. Alongside BAPRAS and the rest of the PLASTA Committee, she hopes to help ensure that the UK plastic surgical training experience is rich and fulfilling for all trainees and encourage more junior trainees to consider a career in plastic surgery.
