Pre Congress Cadaver Course - Conflict Trauma: Lower Limb Flap Course
28th August 2026
Registration is now open for a one-day, hands-on cadaveric course in lower limb trauma surgery, taking place on 1 December 2026 at the Manchester Surgical Skills and Simulation Centre.
The course is designed to upskill the civilian plastic surgery population in managing high volumes of lower limb wounds, with particular attention to mechanisms of injury relevant to conflict. Should the UK become involved in a large-scale conflict, plastic surgeons would be called on to perform trauma surgery in high volumes, irrespective of subspecialist interest. The day offers an opportunity to revise and consolidate those techniques.
Topics covered
- Emergency vascular access and shunts
- Soft tissue coverage of all areas of the lower limb
- Functional amputations of the lower limb
Date: 1 December 2026
Venue: Manchester Surgical Skills and Simulation Centre, Stopford Building, Oxford Road, Manchester, M13 9PT
Cost: £750
