New Advertising Standards for Botox on Social Media

9th January 2020

We would like to inform members of the new guidance produced by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) with Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) regarding the advertising of botulinum toxin injections on social media.

From 31 January onwards, you must take care not to directly or indirectly promote Botox to the public when promoting the treatment services you offer on social media. This includes direct and indirect references such as #Botox or 'anti-wrinkle injections' etc.
