BAPRAS, along with plastic surgery societies in more than 40 other countries have joined together to form a new global plastic surgery group, the International Confederation of Plastic Surgery Societies.
The new organisation aims to ensure the highest possible quality of treatment for plastic surgery patients around the world as well as focusing on promoting education, humanitarian opportunities, philanthropy and collegiality among the national societies, patients and the public.
The recent tragic nightclub fire in Romania has highlighted the importance of global collaboration. Plastic surgeons from many countries including the UK have offered their expertise to help treat those affected.
BAPRAS President, Nigel Mercer, commented that we look forward to working with other national societies to advance plastic surgery throughout the world.
