Mr Richard Milner
Mr Richard Milner
Richard is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, where he is a consultant plastic surgeon at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and a senior lecturer in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.
He was elected to BAPRAS Council in 2003, was Honorary Treasurer from 2006 to 2010 and President in 2012.
Richard's sub-specialty interests include the management of hand conditions, particularly brachial plexus and peripheral nerve surgery. He also undertakes the care of patients with sarcoma and patients undergoing breast reconstruction
He was a member of the interface speciality group in hand surgery between plastic surgery and trauma/ orthopaedics between 2005 and 2010, including time as its Chairman. Prior to that, he was regional special advisor for Plastic Surgery for the Northern Deanery (1999 to 2004)
