Barbara Jemec is a consultant at the Royal Free Hospital, mainly specialising in skin cancer and hand surgery. She was the founding Chairman of the British Foundation for International Reconstructive Surgery and Training (BFIRST), which is the official overseas charity for BAPRAS. She currently works with a plastic surgical unit in Dhaka, Bangladesh to improve the outcome in upper limb surgery after electrical burns.
