Richard Cole is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, appointed in 1994. He 
established the Salisbury/Oxford/Stoke Mandeville SpR rotation, has held Lead Clinician / Head of Service roles on 2 occasions (1999-2002 & 2016-2019), and been a member of the Revalidation Implementation Board (2010-2013).

He sat on the BAPS Clinical Effectiveness Subcommittee (1998-2001), represented the association on the Senate of Royal Colleges Joint Committee for CPD (1999-2002) and was elected to BAPS Council (2000-2002).

He was appointed BAPRAS member on Sir Bruce Keogh’s Cosmetic Surgery Interspecialty Committee (2014-2016) in the Clinical Outcomes work-stream, invited to take on the role of Design Lead for UK National Flap Registry from 2014, and is now UKNFR Surgical Data Lead.

He is currently an elected member of BAPRAS Professional Standards Committee (from 2014) and a member of Council (from 2018).
