Mr David Coleman
David Coleman is the Chair of the Intercollegiate Board in Plastic Surgery
After plastic surgery training in Plymouth, the West Midlands and Yorkshire he took up his consultant post at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford in 1992.
He was an elected member of BAPS Council between 2000 and 2003. He was Chairman of the BAPS Education & Research Subcommittee 2002-4. He was BAPRAS Honorary Secretary 2008-10. Since 2008 he has been an examiner and then assessor for the Intercollegiate Specialty Board in Plastic Surgery.
His main clinical interest is in breast reconstruction, usually using autologous techniques. His other interests include hypospadias, reconstructive microsurgery, skin cancer and tissue expansion.
His publications cover breast implants, tissue expansion, adverse capsular contracture, tissue expansion, lymph node dissection and hypospadias.
