BAPRAS partnership with Touch Surgery

9th October 2015

The BAPRAS Innovation Group are delighted to announce that the BAPRAS Council has agreed to work with Touch Surgery to develop an interactive simulation syllabus for Plastic Surgery trainees.

Touch Surgery is an internationally successful cross-platform resource that allows trainees to learn and interact with operations from their mobiles and tablets. Independent studies have shown active use of Touch Surgery by trainees increases their surgical cognitive abilities for previously unseen operations.

One of the company co-founders Jean Nehme, devised the idea whilst working as a Plastic Surgery registrar in London. It has gone on to be used by trainees across the globe. Some of the most prestigious American training hospitals made it an essential part of their training methods for their juniors. Therefore this is a hugely exciting collaboration for BAPRAS and it's trainee members.

To celebrate this partnership there will be an official launch party at the Touch Surgery studio in the new year. There will be the opportunity to meet the Touch Surgery team and have a tour of their amazing studio.
