The Association usually offers five bursaries annually of up to £5,000.00 each for the study of new techniques abroad.  These are designed for specialist registrars (years 4‑6) enrolled on a recognised training programme with the Specialist Advisory Committee in Plastic Surgery and Consultant Plastic Surgeons of not more than three years' standing. The awards are considered annually.  The closing date for submission of applications is 31st December annually. 

In 2008 awards have been made to Miss A L Dancey, Miss A V H Greig,Mr M J Heaton, Mr S P Hettiaratchy and Mr A Misra.
