The Association usually offers ten student bursaries annually.  The grants are each for the sum of £500.00 towards the expenses of a medical student who wishes to undertake research, travel, or an elective in a subject related to plastic surgery.  The closing date for submission of applications is 31st December annually.

Other sources of funding for medical students: The Healing Foundation in conjunction with BAPRAS offers Medical Student Electives Awards of £1,200.00 for the personal support of students during the 6-8 week elective period. Further information can be found on the Healing Foundation website,
