The future of plastic surgery.

The document entitled The Way Forward was launched at the Winter Meeting of BAPS in 2003. It represented a prolonged consultation period, which involved Council and the Officers of the Association.

The final document describes the work of plastic surgeons and makes recommendations concerning the organisation of the specialty of plastic surgery in the future.  It is aimed at a wide and varied audience ranging from those who are interested in knowing what plastic surgeons do to those who decide how many plastic surgeons should be doing what and how it is funded.

It is the third such document put together by the Association and the full document can be downloaded as pdf file.
